Turner has been in the HVAC industry for twenty-three years and with Danfoss for the last six, holding a variety of roles over his career, including Product Support, Product Marketing, Product Planning, Strategic Planning, Business Development/Market Research. He holds a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering from Oklahoma State University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Colorado. Drew enjoys conquering Colorado’s 14ers with his son, Ethan, and dog, Bean.

- Danfoss Turbocor®compressors use magnetic force to achieve oil-free compression. Doing so, reduces wear and increases the lifespan of the compressor.
- With current city and state emissions goals, electrification is becoming more and more prevalent.
- To help end users meet these goals, many utilities are offering assistance with changing over from fossil fuel-based systems, such as switching out an oil boiler for an electric heat pump.
- These programs improve energy efficiency, reducing the demand for electricity.
- With many electrical grids working towards 100% renewable energy, electricity production won’t be available 24/7. That means that improving energy efficiency is a crucial part of lowering energy demand.
- A part of increasing efficiency is using variable-speed technology in new systems and retrofitting existing systems.
- Some municipalities, such Berkeley and Menlo Park in California, are pushing electrification hard, going as far as banning natural gas in new residential and commercial buildings.
- Other municipalities, such as New York City and Washington, DC, are adding emissions caps on existing buildings.
